Rolls For Cold Rolled Open Section

Rolls For Cold Rolled Open Section

NMPL also make the rolls for the rolling of open sections. Cold rolling occurs with the metal below its recrystallization temperature (usually at room temperature), which increases the strength via strain hardening up to 20%. It also improves the surface finish and holds tighter tolerances. Commonly cold-rolled products include sheets, strips, bars, and rods; these products are usually smaller than the same products that are hot rolled. Full-hard rolling reduces the thickness by 50%, while the others involve less of a reduction. Cold rolling shapes requires a series of shaping operations, usually along the lines of sizing, breakdown, roughing, semi-roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing. The cold r include metal furniture, desks, filing cabinets, tables, chairs, motorcycle exhaust pipes, computer cabinets and hardware, home appliances and components, shelving, lighting fixtures, hinges, tubing, steel drums, lawn mowers, electronic cabinetry, water heaters, metal containers, and a variety of construction-related products.

Design of the rolls for cold rolled open section are made on the CAD software i.e. open profiles are generated according to the given drawing or data provided by the client and information is thoroughly examined
Nmpl does not compromise with the quality. Rolls are made from the material D1, D2, D3, H13 with the composition of the other constituents in material like chromium, molybdenum, and vanadium as asked by the client. Generally high chromium material is used for manufacturing of rolls by NMPL. The rolls are heated treated so as to ensure the less wear and tear and to have the high life of the roll on the mill for high production rate. . Rolls are tested for harden ability and surface finish to provide best rolling of metals.

SPECIFICATION:
Material used:
Hardness: Rolls for cold rolling mill are tested for all its hardness parameters for long lasting rolls and trouble free operation of the cold rolling mill.
Surface Finish: High precision surface finish is provided and is quality tested before it’s shipped to clients.
